Artist inspired

I modeled my drawing off of the minimalism artist movement as well as 15th century flemish art. I chose to use simple materials in my artwork, a pencil and some lined paper to give my artwork a unique look and to follow along with the minimalist style. I chose to follow the minimalism movement because I liked the style of the simplicity that gave the artwork so much freedom to be what the artist or viewer wanted, I designed the subject of the drawing off of a 15th century flemish art painting.

I decided to make a bold outline of my artwork but instead of shading I used lines to justify different shades of colors in my drawing, I also replaced some details with lines and patterns to give the drawing a more unique look. I decided to change many details of the 15th century flemish art and add components of minimalism to give the artwork a different design.

I explored the minimalist style of artwork and liked the concept and designs that I saw and also collaborated with the flemish art that I was assigned. I think that this relates to my life because in my life I like to do some things in a minimalist fashion, using only the necessary materials or time to make a simple yet productive outcome. I wish that I had taken more time on my drawing and made it more detailed and added colors or something more visually appealing.
