This piece is called Silky. I began by sketching out the face and the hand holding the popsicle. Then, I inked the outlines and colored in the face, hand, and popsicle with colored pencil. I left the hair white. I then filled in the background with blues purple watercolor. The popsicle was very faint so I used marker to make it darker and more liquid-like. On the second coat of watercolor, I used salt to form star like lighter splotches. When the background was dry, I added sparkles to the hair and the background, making swirls in the sky. I also used silver and blue markers to emphasize the swirls.
