For this project we were assigned to draw a pattern, but from dark to light. I started off with the dark side. It wasn't as complex as I wanted and I wish it had been more neat. For the first one I used a 6B pencil and kept using it till I got to the lighter colors. I didn't push down as hard as it got lighter. Then after, I used just a HB pencil. There wasn't a very specific way I drew it. As I drew I just wanted less and less detail so it wouldn't be as dark. As I drew I didn't see much of a change in the shading. So As I looked over I made some darker and some lighter. If I could change something I wouldn't made it more neat and made more interesting patterns.

Negative Space 10/1/18

For this project we had to separate positive and negative space. So for the positive space I had to expand the shape of a couple of leaves that were found outside. For the negative space I colored it in with colored pencils. I used the colors of the rainbow. After the first time I finished redrawing the leaves I decided to add more detail on the edges. For example the leaves and their little indents. The final product wasn't what I wanted. I wish I had made something more interesting to look at with more detail in the negative space. Also another I would like to change is I wish I colored it in more, or I could've used paint or something that fills in spots that I missed.
