Color Study

For this drawing I drew a McDonalds sign in a nice sunset. I used oil pastel to draw it. The colors I used were black, red, orange, and yellow. The black was to add that darker tone of the clouds, the red was to create the color of the sky that was behind the clouds. Orange was used the most, I blended it with a lot of squares. The yellow I used to create lighter lighting which was mixed with orange. I girded the photo I was drawing and the paper I drew on by 1x1cm. I mixed colors and blended them with a blender to create it. I started at the top left and finished the rows one after the other, I never did two rows at once. At first I didn't know what colors to blend until I used less colors to create the squares. As I drew on I began to make the squares look more like the actual photo by adding better colors and more similar colors. I wish I blended it better and made it more detailed.
