Charcoal & Ink

Charcoal & Ink 12/18/18

For my art piece I chose to draw my cat. It was from a photo taken by me when I still owned him. To make this work I had printed out piece of paper that was in black and white. I had to separate the image by boxes. After I had to resize it onto another paper that was much larger. It took some time to redraw the larger scale. I drew one box at a time. The drawing was made to totally out of black and white charcoal, and some parts ink. The rules and techniques used was the boxes to resize and make the drawing easier to sketch out. As I drew my art, there were changes. When first drawing I didn't understand the way of shading. So some parts of the cats fun weren't going the right way or some parts didn't seem too good; for example the head. I chose to draw this because I though it would be a good idea and turn out as a good drawing. If I could change things up it would be to make the second eye a better shape. I also need to shape better with the fur in some parts of the head and the stomach. I would also like to add more detail and make it look less rushed.
