Solid:
To do this project I had to carve out a rubber tile with my chosen image with a small carving tool. I then and cover it with ink. But to get the ink I had to roll it on a metal plate till it was sticky. Then I had to roll it onto the rubber plate. I then laid a small paper on it and pressed down with a circular object. Then after lifting it the ink would be on the paper. The series of prints are of a picture of my old cat. If I could male this stronger I would want to make the carving of the clay tile more detailed.
Non-traditional:
For the non-traditional print I used a different colored background. I used the same procedure as the first print. The only thing different was the color of the background. If I could make this one stronger in any way I would want to make it darker and have less white areas and dots.
Multi-color:
For the multi-color print I used two different colors. As I rolled the ink I applied purple to one half and blue to the other. This was to make it two different colors. If I could remake it I would want to use more than just two colors. I would also like to have less white spaces with dots.
Extended:
For the extended I used the procedure as the solid. After printing I needed something to add and extend the drawing to make it more creative. I wanted to make something weird and out of place. So I decided to make the cat have a oddly shaped body with long feet and large long arms, and also wearing a tuxedo. I was inspired by Roald Dahl's art style with his funky characters. If I was to make it better I think I would want to fit things on better and make it seem more realistic with smaller details and better shapes.
