Creative Color Design

3/26/19

For my painting I had to present eighty-four different colors using tones and shadows. My idea was to make a large back ground consisting of seven colors. Then on top of the back ground there are triangles with seven separate spots to put the rest of the colors in. To make this art work I used the primary colors of paint: yellow, blue, and red to create the other colors. To created shadows and tones I used black and white paint. Using more white makes a lighter color, using black makes the color at a darker shade. I wanted to make the triangle pattern because it looked interesting to see how it turned out and the look of overlapping triangles on a background. At first my project idea was just to have a bunch of triangles covering the page, later on I added the large background with overlapping triangles. If I could make my project stronger I would want to make better layers and not be able to see white spaces and brush strokes.
