Independently Designed (FOA)

For this art piece I chose to make line art, meaning I draw something but only in one line. I chose to draw faces. At first I used a separate paper to sketch faces that I thought were pretty interesting and funky looking. But after I drew it onto the drawing paper. After drawing the faces I added cut out faces from a magazine and put it onto small spaces. I then used other body parts like eyes and lips and replaced them with other ones found in the magazine. After gluing those on I used water color to paint the faces. After using the paint I would add a lot of water to make the color lighter and make the paint spread around. Afterwards I traced over everything with a small sharpie to bring out the shape and looks of the faces. At first my project started off as only faces so then I started to add real human faces, but after adding those real faces I wanted to make it more interesting and added extra body parts, like lips and eyes. The reason I made this is to draw about how everyone is different and all of us are human no matter how we look. I also made it because I like to craw funky things and interesting drawings. If I could make my project stronger I would like to put something in the background, add more real human faces, and put less water color to make the faces look more simple.
