One of these works of art is called "Will There Be A Place For Them?" as it is about a looming problem in today's society. The point of this sketch was to be a drawing about what may happen when I grow up, which I thought as the captivation of all animals. I drew this as a reminder that humans are not the only species that need a place to live. After this was finished it will be applied in a contest. The other work of art is called "Kahndal's Quote" as it is about a wizard spreading his wisdom. In this drawing, the wizard, Kahndal, spreads his wisdom by informing the reader that no one can see the future and that because of this, no one knows when one might need something. Such as an organ transplant or other life saving help. I also drew Kahndal because he is a character in the book that I am writing in my free time.

I drew the Doodle for Google by using colored pencils and some graphite. I used graphite to sketch out the design and used the colored pencil to finish the entire project. I drew all the animals using colored pencil, even though I had thought about using markers. I drew "Kahndal's Quote by using all ink. Besides the graphite that I used for the outline the entire rest of the drawing was ink. I had drawn the main sketch with graphite and then drew over or slightly erased, according to the color ink I was using, the line that I had previously made. The ink made the artwork stand out more and made it easier to create different textures. The cloak was some water that I had mixed with ink and then painted on the paper like watercolor paints. This technique made it easy to make a quick and effective texture for the cloak. I also only used 3 colors, black, magenta, and purple in this drawing. All other colors such as lavender and grey, were made by a dilution of the 3 colors I already had.

If there was one thing I wish I could have fixed with my Doodle for Google drawing it would have been that I wished that I had more time to work on the overall look and background for the background. I think that with more time I would have been able to pull up some background and make the overall drawing look more complete. For my other drawing, "Kahndal's Quote", there were a couple other problems I had with the design. Even though I liked the no background concept, which kept the other colors from getting too overwhelming, I still wish that some of the mistakes I had made before wouldn't be so obvious. There were a couple smudges and mistakes on parts of my drawing that stood out at times. Besides some smaller mistakes like these, there was not as many problems with the drawing as I had feared. I still think that my inked drawing looks great and will be my new favorite artwork until a better drawing of mine comes along.
