Scratch Board

Artist Statement- The main Idea that guided my artwork was I haven't taken the time this year to create art of one of my pets. I thought that starting this idea with scratchboard would be the best because it is easy to make out pets fur. You really can see every detail. My work was made by using scratchboard and knife and this tool that has 3 little wires that was very helpful to create detail for the fur. At first I thought about creating a sunset then I came up with the idea of finally creating one of my pets. I choose the best picture of my cat I could find, printed it out and started working. I started off with a practice piece that got me familiar with the tools. Then I created my final piece.
