Corner of My Room
This is project is my time capsules. I drew the corner of my room, self portrait, and a plant.
I made these by using regular pencil and also a graphite pencil and colored pencils. When I was drawing I tried making darker lines to make things pop more. I also tried to use pencil to make shadows and tried to blend the shadows in by smudging the pencil a little.
I first started by drawing the corner, I experimented with different angles of the lines at the top for the ceiling and the lines on the bottom near the baseboard to see how I could get my drawing to look like a corner. I added the wood floor lines to make the corner more realistic than just a blank floor. While I was drawing I tried to make everything I was drawing looks similar to what is in the corner of my room. My project evolved because at first when I hadn’t drawn the posters and pictures on the wall it was really blank and boring, but once I added the posters and pictures the corner looked more realistic. My next steps could have been to color it all and make the posters and pictures look more straight and use more shadowing where there was shadows.
Still Object(Plant)
This is a drawing of a plant in my house. I chose to draw a plant for my still object because I thought it would be something fun to draw. There were no material requirements for this.
I used regular pencils to draw the plant and them I used colored pencils to color the plant in. I also used a sharpie to make the edge of the plant pot look more like the rim of the pot.
First I started with drawing the pot So I could make the plant look like it is in the pot. Then I drew the twisty roots and then the leaves. After I finished drawing it I colored it in with colored pencils. My drawing evolved a lot because when it wasn’t colored in it looked like my plant was was floating and didn’t look right with no soil. Once I colored it the plant looked more like it was a real plant and it looked like it had some soil that made it look like it wasn’t just floating there. My next steps could be to add some shadows and more shading of the colors not just one solid color.
