What is the Tri-M Music Honor Society?
The Westborough Chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society serves the greater Westborough Community through acts of service in the field of music and performing arts. Students perform at local events, assist with school-based concerts and theater productions throughout the district, and help organize and run such events as Arts In Common and the MICCA Festival.
Prerequisites:
An “A” Average in all Performing Arts Classes at WHS
An overall “B” Average in all other WHS Courses
Participation in the following activities (based on grade level):
Freshman: An All-State Recommendation
Sophomores: Acceptance and Participation in the Senior District Music Festival
Juniors and Seniors: One of the above criteria OR participation in an extra-curricular performance ensemble or production.
*Students must complete 6 community service hours each semester to maintain membership*
Days of meeting:
Monthly Meetings (usually the 1st Friday of each month)
Times of meeting:
Either just before or just after school, depending on the time of year
Place of meeting:
Auditorium
