What is WHS Robotics?
WHS Robotics promotes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education through hands-on robotics activities and competitions. We compete in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) events where the goal is not just to perform well on the competition field but also to prepare the students with life skills needed in college and beyond. The team meets for the entire school year and requires active participation.
Days of meeting:
Time and frequency varies with the school year. In the Fall we offer classes to better prepare students. We also go to an off-season competition. From January to March, we work as many as 5 days a week (including weekends) sometimes over 20 hrs a week. This is our busy time. From April to the end of the school year, the schedule varies depending on events we attend and the needs of the team.
Times of meeting:
Weekdays - usually 6 to 9 PM. Weekends usually 10 AM to 5 PM
