What is the Poetry Power Club?
Poetry Power Club is a community where we listen to, write, share and perform spoken word. Opportunities for internships, collaborations with town events, festivals and open mics. A space to help youth to become capable and creative members of community through the use of art in courageous space - to shape a more just and equitable world.
Over the years students have gone to the semi-finals competition, and individual poets have gone on to national festivals and brought poetry to spaces beyond WHS!
