Applications of Stem

The Applications of Stem Club(ASC) has a mission to create an environment where students can immerse themselves into the world of STEM and its applications in the real world. 

In this club you can:

• Participate in Hack-a-thons

• Listen to Guest Speakers from the STEM world

• Find Experience Opportunities

• Engage in concepts that interest you in a variety of STEM fields

Also, look out for opportunities to collaborate and connect with other STEM clubs, such as combined projects, or meetings.

The ASC has three main goals:

1. Create a practical club for people interested in STEM during and after high school, where members can meet like minded individuals, learn about STEM opportunities, and cut out a path for themselves in the STEM world

2. Create a tight knit community full of members interested in similar topics who collectively can work together and bring the best out of each other

3. Create a space, where all people, regardless of background, experience, or knowledge are welcomed and accepted. Everyone is a valued member.

Meetings will be held about twice a month, after school. Meetings will depend on given events and/or activities planned. Members are not required to attend every meeting, but are encouraged to attend as much as they can. 

This is a new club at WHS, and together we can make it great! If you are interested, don’t hesitate to become a member of ASC. We hope to see you at our first meeting.
