The Department of Data Analytics (DDA) operates as the research and service arm of the ASHS community, including (but not limited to) the Sanggunian’s Executive Council, Sandigan committees, student organizations, and the administration. Under this mandate, the department’s aim is to encourage the use of data and research in the conceptualization and execution of projects and policies of the Sanggunian as well as the assessment and evaluation of the Sanggu-SHS and the OSA’s different projects, policies, and initiatives through data-driven approaches, emphasizing the value of hearing the community’s voice towards effecting change and lighting the spark of continual improvement.
The Department of Data Analytics aims to be the main avenue of the Sanggunian in hearing the opinions, insights, and sentiments of the student body. This will be done by encouraging the use of data and research in the conceptualization and execution of projects and policies, by guiding councils in conducting research and data analysis, by ensuring the ethical conduct of research within the ASHS Sanggunian, and by promoting and communicating the importance of research and data analytics in the progress of our country.
The Department of Data Analytics was originally established to encourage the use of data and research in the conceptualization and execution of projects and policies of the Sanggunian. The department aims to effectuate and guide the councils in conducting research and data analytics to ensure ethical conduct within the Sanggunian-SHS.

Department of Data Analytics Overall Head
The Department of Data Analytics Overall Head (DDAOH) serves as the overseer of the entirety of the DDA, along with its core, members, and projects. Through close coordination with the ASHS Administration, the Sanggunian President, and the various councils of the Sanggunian, the DDAOH guides the department in utilizing its data-driven capacities in serving as the mouthpiece of the student body and earpiece of the servant leaders within the ASHS. Through this directive, the DDAOH ensures that the community will continually remain rooted in the notions of research, reflection, and improvement.
In the Sourcing Team, members will have the opportunity to participate in various data collection procedures, such as creating surveys, facilitating interviews and focus group discussions which would allow them to develop an unbiased attitude and level-headed communication skills towards a diverse set of respondents.
In the Publication Team, members will have the opportunity to gain experience in promoting research, disseminating results, and engaging the community through creative forms of media such as graphic design and written works.
In the Analysis Team, members will have the opportunity to learn and apply different statistical methods and analysis techniques in the context of ASHS studies and evaluations, equipping them with the necessary skills beneficial for research and other real-life situations.
SERVICES
A13 DDA Services Request Form
The A13 DDA Services Request form is the primary request document of OSCCs to the Department of Data Analytics. Through this form, OSCCs may request for project interest checks and studies on the student body or the ASHS community.
A13-P (Proponents’ Evaluation Form)
The A13-P is an evaluation tool managed by the DDA. It is used to assess projects and acquire data that is geared towards improving future projects and streamlining processes within organizations. Because of this reason, the A13-P will be a requirement in the completion of all projects. This will be sent to a requesting OSCC once they have accomplished the A13-PR (Proponents' Evaluation Template Request Form).
A13-T (Target Audience’s Evaluation Form)
The A13-T is similar to the A13-P in almost all respects as a form of evaluation, but its respondents will be coming from the audience of the project instead of the proponents. Unlike the A13-P, the A13-T is not a requirement, but it is helpful in understanding the audience that have interacted with and participated in the project. This will be sent to a requesting OSCC once they have accomplished the A13-TR (Target Audience's Evaluation Template Request Form).
The Department Manual outlines the responsibilities of all positions under the department. In addition, it serves as a guide for procedures and operations conducted by the department.
To request the A13-P from the DDA, the proponents must fill out the Proponents' Evaluation Template Request Form, shortened into A-13PR to differentiate that it is a request. The GForm is mostly composed of questions regarding plans for evaluation and consultation with the DDA. OSCCs may also request data reports through this form.
To request for the A13-T, the A13-TR or the Target Audience's Evaluation Template Request Form has to be completed by the requesting OSCC. The GForm also includes plans for evaluation and consultation, if deemed necessary. OSCCs may also request data reports through this form.
