Aligned with the HumSS Council’s theme of Discovery, unearthing is a HumSS core value that involves understanding one’s environment and oneself. Unearthing our truths cannot be done through one straight path rather multiple long and rigid ones, similar to our journey through Senior High School. In the ASHS, we get to know ourselves better and our society even more because only through learning can we clearly see the reality of our situation and the people around us.

For humanistas who plan to serve the ASHS community, a lesson that will help you decide on what endeavors to partake in is to remember how sincerity is the heart of service. It is a HumSS core value because of the magnetic and headstrong nature humanistas are known for being. Sometimes, this may cause us to embark on journeys we might not even genuinely care for. To avoid this, we must remember that in all that we do and all that we are destined to pursue, it is important to remain sincere about the choices we make and the possible careers we might take.
