The ASHS Debate Organization and Varsity is the school’s leading organization in the sport of debate, incorporating lessons such as communication and critical thinking skills in our discourse centered sessions. We strive for a multi-faceted understanding of contemporary and societal issues, as well as sound application of persuasive skills through training rounds, lectures, activities, and competitions.
MUN, Model UN, Model United Nations—whatever you call it, you’re still bound to love it! We simulate the largest theater of diplomacy—the United Nations. Here, delegates come together to solve simulated global concerns derived from real-life issues, discuss varying agendas, write resolutions, and engage in heated debates to assert their influence—for the common good of the world! In MUN, friendships are forged, minds are nurtured, eyes are opened, and world views are expanded!
