Fall Activities

Heading into Thanksgiving break, there are many fall activities to do! With America opening up since the COVID lockdown, we can enjoy the old fall activities that we were unable to participate in before! So here is a list of the best exercises to be done this fall:

  • Apple picking is a great activity in the fall as it can be fun and healthy. Studies show that apple picking is a great outdoor activity and can improve the welfare of people. Furthermore, apples contain beneficial nutrients and fibers, altogether making the activity a very healthy one.

  • Hiking is a popular activity in the fall since not only is it exercise, but it is very enjoyable as well. With the leaves changing colors in the fall, forests create a diverse arrangement of leaves that amazes hikers. There are many ways to stay fit while having fun, and hiking is one of them.

  • Baking is also one of the great activities to participate in during the Fall. This is because there are so many different foods to bake during the fall season. The most popular baked goods during this time are usually pies, such as apple and pumpkin pie. But there are many other baked goods enjoyed during this time, such as cornbread on Thanksgiving, or apple cider donuts.

  • Though this activity will likely decrease in frequency as time passes and winter begins, biking is a fun way to exercise and travel this fall. Plus biking to locations reduces driving time, benefiting the earth’s atmosphere by emitting less carbon dioxide.

  • In case you’re looking for other ways to spend time outside in the cold fall weather, you can always try building a fire pit in your backyard. Done safely, fire pits are great areas for social gatherings and create a warm area to spend time outside in the chilly fall weather.

  • And one fall activity that many families in the US enjoy is Thanksgiving Football. Playing the game with your family or friends, Thanksgiving Football is an event that is very enjoyable and is a great way to spend time with the people you’re close to.

Heading into Thanksgiving, everyone is excited because one thing is for certain; this Thanksgiving year will be different from last year. Returning back from the COVID pandemic, the US is opening up and certain activities that were banned during the pandemic have returned. I hope you will find the activities listed above helpful for your fall experience. Enjoy your fall and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Football is an annual tradition. There’s NFL on TV or you can play at home.
