School Musical Mamma Mia! Opens This Week

The Niskayuna High School annual musical production is back! This year, our school will be presenting Mamma Mia! The Musical. It has been two years since the last musical, Little Mermaid, was shown here at Niskayuna, so our performers are incredibly excited! We hope that you won’t miss out on this opportunity to watch this incredible musical performance.

The directors for this show, Mrs. Pizzino Catalano and Mr. Hughes, have worked incredibly hard to rehearse for the show, along with the whole cast. The final presentation of this much-anticipated production will be performed for the music department on March 3rd, and again on March 4th and 5th for the public to view! Buying tickets online is encouraged so you can have more optional seating, but walk-in tickets will also be available just one hour before the performance. Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, and $16 for adults.

As a member of the Mamma Mia! cast, I feel very privileged to be a part of this talented group of actors and actresses. This cast has been very supportive of me, especially the seniors. The bonds I’ve made with this group are unlike anything I have had with other performing groups. Every aspect of this show has been well-executed. Kudos to the backstage, makeup, costume, light, and sound crews for creating an amazing set and helping us fully step into our characters and portray their styles. Also, a huge thank you to the pit orchestra directed by Mr. Neubert. Hope to see you in the audience as the curtains open up!
