Do I have funding to provide language assistance to Limited English Proficient (LEP) parents?
- Yes! All schools receive a tax-levy allocation for this purpose through School Allocation Memorandum NO. 51 (“SAM-51”), and eligible schools also receive either a Title I or Title III SAM-51 allotment. Check SCHOOL ALLOCATION MEMORANDUM NO. 52, FY 2022
to see what SAM-51 funding your school received this year.
How can I spend my SAM-51 funding?
- Below are some example of what these funds can and cannot be used for.

How should I schedule these funds in Galaxy?
- Funds should be scheduled in the following allocation categories:
1) TL Translation Services or TL Translation Services CW.
2) Title I SWP Translation Services or Title I Targeted Assistance Translation Services
3) Title III Translation Services
