The DOE contracted vendor, Geneva Worldwide provides interpretation services both in-person and via virtual platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.) for school-wide events (such as Welcome Nights, Family Nights, PTA Meetings), Special Education Meetings, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Student Testing, Graduations, Guidance Counselor Meetings and more.

After a one hour minimum, assignments will be billed in 15minute intervals. This billing arrangement will operate for each assignment unless the interpreter arrives late in which case the actual arrival time will be considered the start time.

Cancellation policy: if cancelled 24 hours or less – school must pay 1hour min., there is no cost if cancelled more than 24 hours in advance.

Lateness: If the Interpreter is more than 15 minutes late then the lateness can be deducted from the 1 hour minimum. The school should reach out to Geneva right away if an interpreter is late.

Full Kit includes: 25 portable radio frequency receivers with headsets, 2 portable transmitters with microphones

Note: Assignments will require that the Technician be prepared to commence services at the start time of meetings.

*Consecutive interpretation: the interpreter interprets in the target language during the speaker’s natural pauses and/or after complete thoughts are finished.

**Simultaneous interpretation: the interpreter(s) interpret into the target language at the same time the speaker is speaking in their source language. Please note that simultaneous requests require a minimum or 2 interpreters, per language.
