Workshop Contents:
ATS data serves as a critical resource for understanding your school community and ensuring clear and effective communication with the NYC DOE’s diverse population. However, navigating ATS can be challenging, especially in the Remote Work environment. Gaining the knowledge and facility needed to access this information from ATS will help school personnel ensure that communication happens with their entire school community, that it happens in a timely manner, and that it happens in a parent’s preferred language. This workshop focuses on:
Accessing and downloading reports when working remotely using Windows, MacOS, or Chrome
Learning about the top 10 most requested ATS reports essential for Language Access Coordinators
Understanding ATS functions for changing parent preferred language and the protocol and escalation pathway for requesting a home language change
Resolving issues regarding automated messages being sent out in the parent’s non-preferred languages
Troubleshooting common ATS issues
Best practices for resolving technical problems while working remotely
