Ingredients:
1) 1 tablespoon olive oil
2) 4 tomatoes
3) one onion
4) 2 cups chopped and washed parsley
5) fresh and chopped grape leaves (the quantity is your preference)
6) 1/2 cup of water
7) 2 cups of rice
for the sauce:
1) 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses (or sub with lemon)
2) 2 tablespoons tomato paste
3) salt
4) black pepper
5) 2 tablespoon of olive oil
6) juice of 2 lemons
7) 2 cups of boiled water
steps:
1) fry onions in a spoon of olive oil, add the rest of the ingredients besides the rice and sauté them for a couple minutes with the 1/2 cup of water.
2) add the rice and a spoonful of olive oil on top.
3) prepare the sauce and add it to your pot containing the rice. mix well.
4) leave it on medium to low heat for 40 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
