1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash original
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup unsalted melted butter
1 large egg
1 cup milk
Variations: Substitute original Mrs. Dash for Chipotle flavored Mrs. Dash, and add a chopped green bell pepper for a southwestern feel.

Grease a 9" cast iron skillet or cake pan well and set aside. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
In a medium bowl add flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and Mrs. Dash. Whisk to combine
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add milk, honey, butter, and egg. Stir until just incorporated and few lumps remain.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until top is golden brown, and toothpick comes out clean.
