Scope of the course
This course is designed to introduce students to the most prevalent conspiracy theories that exist today. Students will analyze photographs, complete a KWL guide at the beginning of each topic, recognize “what we know,” popular theories, and challenge those theories. The last week of the course, students will research (teacher guidance) conspiracy theories that were not covered in class. Here are the categories and conspiracy theories we will cover throughout the nine-week grading period.

Nature of the Content
Some of the content of the conspiracy theories may be disturbing. At no time will there be any graphic images displayed when covering these conspiracy theories. As we all know, the internet can host a wide variety of inappropriate material; however, the material presented in class has been carefully selected to suit a middle school audience. All of the information that will be presented in class will be included in Google Classroom for your preview.
