“My art is a copy or interpretation of the original work of the ultimate artist and creator, God our Father,” wrote Brother Robert about his work. He graduated from St. Edward’s University in 1966, where a Holy Cross brother urged him to paint. His passion for art exploded when he went on to serve in Brazil. His colorful paintings, oil on canvas or wood, celebrate and bring to life the people of Brazil who he spent his vocation serving. Even in his 70s, Brother Robert still sold his paintings in exhibits in Europe and South America to help fund the community center he founded near Campinas.
