The Bible has been a source of Authority for thousands of years and shaped countless views on issues ranging from how to treat others to how to create laws to sustain a nation. This collection of books has been read over and over for millennia and is still a source of inspiration for many Catholics, like all Christians, believe that the Bible is a way that God communicates, therefore it allows them to understand what God is like and what God wants of them. Throughout the Old and New testament God reveals himself in different ways, such as through the prophets, in laws and fully in the person of Jesus.
