SMA RE KS3

Welcome

In this Complete online provision, we aim to support all our KS3 students. We have divided the curriculum in 6 branches in order to ensure full compliance with the New Religious Education Curriculum Directory. We strived to offer an engaging balanced curriculum that is coherent and accessible in school and at home for all the students of the arch-diocese fulfilling our mission to educate the whole person in discerning the meaning of their existence.

Students start with a quiz and will have a number of structured lessons to empower them and help them progress in their understanding of the catholic faith. Many of the activities could be done on their own but some selected activities will have their results released by teachers only after analysis.

Assessments and Rankings

We believe assessment is an ongoing process helping teachers and pupils learn better ways to improve over the course of the year. Students at Key stage 3 will,

have 2 ranking assessments_ followed by diagnostic feedback and 'Dedicated improvement and reflection times' (DIRT)

Each half term, They will have 2 pieces of common assessment in class and in exam conditions: this assessments could be about any topic already covered during the course of the year. We mapped our curriculum in the way that previous lessons are revisited and built upon to consolidate learning.

We have short quizzes every two to three weeks with immediate feedback on the lessons we are covering .

All these grades will help pupils, teachers and parents strengthen the learning process throughout the year.
