Wider Curriculum

Computing

At Springside, we teach Computing through the Teach Computing resources provided by the National Centre for Computing Education.

Each lesson starts with a flashback 4 which aids pupil recall of previous learning, and a vocabulary focus where 4/5 key terms are taught explicitly. Pupils are then introduced to new learning, have an opportunity for whole-class and paired discussion. Pupils then have an opportunity to embed their learning, either through the use of laptops, iPads or other digital resources such as Beebots, or through physical learning or paper-based resources.

Each Unit of learning has a powerpoint containing all the teaching, recall and vocabulary resources for that unit.
