Remote Learning update

It certainly has and continues to be, a very strange year for us all. The pandemic has indeed brought about many changes and challenges to our daily lives. Hopefully, in the best interests of the children, we can all continue to support each other, remain positive and move forward in unison.

Well done to everyone for accessing Google Classroom. ‘Remote Learning’ maybe a new way of learning for parents but not so new for pupils and it is certainly the way forward, especially in the current climate. In the event, of the need, for home learning, the Government has requested all schools use Remote Learning - using one of many’ Learning Platforms’ available. Springside has selected ‘Google Classroom’ as it is easily accessible, free and user friendly.

Last month, all parents were issued individual usernames and passwords, in order to access Google Classroom and Miss Mullineux has uploaded ‘Step by Step Guidance' for its use – please see attachment. Having the capacity, in school, to monitor individual use of Google Classroom, it appears only a couple of families have experienced challenges with logging on to the school work. If having followed the step by step guidance issued, parents/pupils are still having issues, please do not hesitate to email Miss Mullineux  ks2@springsideprimary.co.uk. To support all pupils with the learning set, staff will be available between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday for children and/or parents to speak with and discuss any individual concerns they may have.
