VPN FAQs
This is likely due to you being on the campus network. You MUST be on another network to access the site.
Other networks include - your home network, a phone hotspot(as long as the phone is not currently connected to su-pirate), a coffee shop/restaurant/hotel network
Windows users:
Open a File Explorer window(Windows key + E) and browse to \\trove.southwestern.edu\
Find the network share you need and open it via double-click
Mac users:
Open the Connect to Server dialog(Mac key + K) and enter smb://trove.southwestern.edu/
Select the volume(s) you want to connect to and click OK
This error happens because your account has not been assigned VPN privileges yet. If you have not received the final completed form with all signatures, you still do not have access.
On the other hand, if you have received the completed form and still receive this error then you may just be faster than we are. It's likely that we just haven't assigned access to your account yet. Please be patient as we may be dealing with an IT-related catastrophe or simply very busy at the moment. We will process this request as soon as we can. If you need access urgently, please call the Tech Deck @ 512.819.7333 so that someone can update your account immediately.
