Follow this handy guide! If they run into problems or have questions, point them here for help!
On your computer, go to Google Transfer
Under “Enter a Destination Account” enter your alumni/personal gmail address and press SEND CODE
Log in to your alumni/personal gmail in another browser and open the “Verify Your Account” email(if you try to use one browser for both accounts you'll run into weird problems)
Press “Get confirmation code” and copy the code
Return to Google Transfer, enter the confirmation code, and press “Verify”
Confirm your settings and press “START TRANSFER”
In Gmail, your email address and the transfer time are added as labels to all transferred emails
In Drive, your email address and the transfer time are used as the name for the folder where transferred files are archived
You’ll receive an email when the transfer is completed (takes one hour up to several days, typically an hour or two)
Go to Google Transfer History to see the progress of your transfer.
Sometimes Google cannot transfer all the files and you will get an email similar to the one below:

Each null line indicates a file that it has been unable to copy. Typically these are files that were shared with you as "view only". To find out exactly what files didn't copy, click History then Files not transferred. You can search for and sometimes individually download files you still want.
