How to Connect to the Parrot Network
From your laptop, phone or tablet, connect to https://southwestern.apogee.us/ or download the Apogee Resnet app from the apple store or google play store or connect to Parrot Start Here.
Turn off the Private Address feature (iOS/apple) or Randomized MAC Address feature (android/Samsung, Google, etc.) from the device you are using to connect to the network.
You will be redirected to a “Welcome” page for the Southwestern University/Apogee student portal where you click on "Sign In."
Enter your university provided email and password (from the slate portal):
If you have forgotten your password, it can be reset here: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
Contact the Southwestern University Help Desk at 512-819-7333 if you need further assistance obtaining your university username and password
Tell us a bit about yourself – name, email, phone number.
Tell us where you will be living.
Answer security question and choose Resident.
At this point you have completed your profile. Sign back in using your university email and password (from step 4).
Go to "My Devices" and register your device(s).
10. Go To Your Wi-Fi password and change it to something you will remember.
11. If you connected via Parrot Start Here, go to your device Wi-Fi settings and forget/disconnect from the Parrot Start Here network.
12. Connect to the "Parrot-5G" or "Parrot-2G" network using your new personal wireless password/key.
13. Ensure the Private Address feature (iOS/apple) or Randomized MAC Address feature is disabled.
14. You are now connected and can browse the network.
For Gaming Consoles and all other devices, from an already connected device, open a web browser on your laptop, phone or tablet, or the Apogee ResNet app on your phone
Go to www.southwestern.apogee.us or select your school if on the app
Log in to your account and select "My Devices" at the top of the home page
For each device, select the type, and enter a name and the MAC Address (or Wi-Fi address) of the device
Connect your device to "Parrot-5G" or "Parrot-2G" with your personal Wi-Fi password
