Installing VPN on Windows

Download the VPN client

1. Navigate to https://vpn.southwestern.edu and log in using your SUeID.

Google Chrome is recommended.

Username: Your SUeID Account

Password: Your SUeID Password

2. Download the VPN client by clicking on the Download for Windows link(screenshot seen below).

Install the VPN client

Before installing, uninstall any instance of SonicWall Mobile Connect on your computer.

After the download is complete, run the installer

Launch Cisco AnyConnect client

The client can be found under All Programs > Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

Enter vpn.southwestern.edu address in the AnyConnect window and click Connect.

There is a maximum time limit of 24 hours per VPN session. This means that 24 hours after you log into VPN, it will automatically disconnect you. You'll be presented with a warning message 5 minutes prior to this maximum time limit so that you can save your data.
