2023 NCM Theme: “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All!”
Womb to Work Program – (institutionalized through City Ordinance 2022-035) – with 3 components: “Gabay Pangkalusugan, Gabay Pagpapakatao at Gabay Panghanapbuhay” – first component on Health (o Gabay Pangkalusugan) has the following achievements:
3,986 families are currently registered for the program from the following pilot areas: (1) Sitio Aplaya, Sucat; (2) Lovely Compound, Cupang; (3) Purok 4, Alabang; (4) Purok 6, Bayanan; (5) 604 at Santos Compound, Putatan; (6) Block 17 Excess Lot, Putatan; (7) Espeleta Pantalan, Poblacion; (8) Biazon Road, Poblacion; (9) Levi’s Compound, Tunasan
2,730 pregnant mothers registered and monitored from March up to recent
100 pregnant mothers provided with free ultrasound and check-up
Continuous community-based orientations and caravans on Maternal and Infant Health, sustainable nutrition interventions for children, and referral for appropriate health responses for mothers, infants, children and their families
100% of newborn infants in MLIC are provided with vitamin K, hearing tests, and expanded newborn screening for early detection of developmental challenges (82 babies)
Around 7,000 infants immunized from 2022 to 2023; with close coordination with DOH;
Continuous campaign for vaccination for flu for children and their families; and efforts for post-COVID-19 monitoring and health management activities to ensure no children shall contract the virus and other related comorbidities (i.e., dengue, polio, meninges, etc.)
Community Assemblies for Health Education in various communities spearheaded by CHO and with assistance of Barangay Health Centers
Sustained Blood Donation Program, with more than 6,000 blood donation volunteers involved to ensure enough blood supply in case of emergencies for both children and their families
Ongoing conversion/ improvements of health centers to become Super Health Centers to accommodate both children and their families’ health needs
Various/ simultaneous implementation of Nutrition Programs including:
Total of 1,397 beneficiaries catered through the Sustainable Nutrition Augmentation Program (SNAP) of GAD Office wherein nutripacks containing rice, vegetables, monggo beans, eggs and other nutrition supplementary food were distributed for 12 weeks to target areas with mapped undernourished children, i.e., Southville, Poblacion; Sitio Daanghari, Poblacion; Bagong Sibol, Putatan; Aplaya Uno, Buli; Sitio Pagkakaisa Zones 1 to 4, Sucat; etc. (PhP 3 Million allocation for both 2022 and 2023)
Provision of ferrous sulfate drops and syrups for at least 200 anemic infants and malnourished children
Regular monitoring of weights and heights of children in communities and schools – conduct of Operation Timbang Plus (OPT)
Provision of growth charts for identified families/ compounds with malnourished children (54 homes)
Provision of complete dosage of micronutrient powder (MNP) for 2,302 children
9,854 children dewormed through 2 deworming activities of CHO
Consistent decrease in Malnutrition rates across all forms for children 0-59 months old in Muntinlupa City - below 1% of target population population from 2018 to 2022 as per CHO remain and are being targeted by our intensive nutrition interventions with the aim of fully eliminating malnutrition in the City.
“Green Banner Award” conferred to Muntinlupa City by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) in recognition of its effective nutrition programs and interventions (conferment date: October 28, 2022). Additionally, the following awards were also received from NNC:

31st Filipino Family Week Celebration wherein clients from Bahay Pag-Asa who were aftercare recipients were involved in various socialization activities and sharing of meals (October 13, 2023).
200 pregnant mothers involved in 2023 Buntis Summit wherein they were provided with buntis kits, giveaways and learning sessions on (1) Healthy Pregnancy Practices; (2) Importance of Birth Plan; (3) Family Planning and (4) Exclusive Breastfeeding
600 pregnant mothers accommodated provided with medicines and supplies in Muntinlupa Lying-In Center (MLIC)
168 children 0-59 months with pneumonia were provided with medicines
150 children age 0-59 months with diarrhea given medicines
Regular information campaign on Tuberculosis and at least 28 children with TB given medicines
Regular sessions, online seminars and related activities boosting on Mental Health awareness for communities, schools and families and daily operations of the Community-Based Mental Health Program
Around 14,578 children ensured to be Timely Registered from 2022 to 2023 through streamlined coordination of City Health Office, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, Lying-In Centers and the Local Civil Registry (LCR) Office. This is in response to children’s right to identity and survival and their need to have a birth certificate which is important in the next stages of their life.
Around 1,032 children ensured with necessary Birth Registration process and documents catered through Free Mobile Registrations facilitated by LCR through 27 events in various communities and strategic locations within the city.
Sustained operation and responsiveness of the already established online platform of Local Civil Registry (LCR) Office and continuous integration of Civil Registration topics in Pre-Marriage Counselling/ Orientations were beneficial in ensuring that parents know how important it is for their children to be timely registered
Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counselling (PMOC) and resumption of Kasalang Bayan activities which reinforces Responsible Parenting and ensuring that family units are strongly bound together right at the beginning of would-be couples’ married life. PMOCs also serve as learning and development venues for couples to understand importance of proper child-rearing, nutrition of children, available services that they can seek for their family, including their roles and responsibilities as couples in building up their families. - total of 844 would-be couples involved in 37 sessions facilitated from January to October 2023.
Establishment of MunTeen Center – a teen, youth and family development center which is initially located at the 2F Right Wing of Muntinlupa Sports Centers, Tunasan; which aims to provide a facility intended for 10-19 years old with holistic features that can engage and enhance their psycho-social capacities; including provision or referral for self-development opportunities that can prevent them in engaging in risk-taking behaviors and in lowering teenage pregnancy rate in the City
Launching of Pagkalinga Program, in coordination with Commission on Population and Development (CPD)-NCR, with 50 teenage mothers mapped and provided with assistance according to the program guidelines - - - this is to ensure teenage mothers/ parents are enabled to return to their schooling and are given necessary and appropriate assistance according to their situation and their children’s health and overall development
Oplan Bisita reaching around 200 PWDs including Children with disabilities and their families; 25 PWD beneficiaries provided with free life-changing surgeries (cleft/ lip and palate; and hernia; etc.) in partnership with Philippine Band of Mercy, SM Center of Muntinlupa, etc.
