Accomplishments for Children

Per Core Right of Children
2023 NCM Theme: “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All!”
Child representatives from barangays attended our 2023 Planning Summit and subsequent planning activities wherein they had the opportunity to provide inputs and suggest programs and projects that must be prioritized by the City for children’s welfare and protection
Successful facilitation of the 2023 Children’s Congress participated by 100 children from all barangays and from various sectors – in-school, out-of-school, faith-based, in-need-of-special-protection – all who were involved in gathering and finalizing inputs for the Local Child Protection Policy (CPP) and for the cascading of “Munting Panata” which emphasizes on good manners and conduct (kabutihang asal) that children must uphold. This event was planned and executed by elected Barangay Child Representatives, assisted by the LCPC-Participation cluster.
Around 200 students involved in the yearly implementation of Boys and Girls Week in which they are designated as little officials for the various offices and departments of the City Government of Muntinlupa
208 children participated in the Festival of Talents hosted by YASDO, in partnership with LCPC and SDO; with the following competition and activities held:
Folk Dance Competition for Elementary Division
OPM Duo for Elementary Division (18 students/ 9 schools)
OPM Duo for Junior High School Division (16 students / 8 schools)
Spoken Poetry Duo Competition (14 students/ 7 schools)
160 students and 14 elementary public schools participated in the culminating event
Around 300 children and youth ages 6 to 17 years old were involved in Performing Arts Workshop on Voice, Dance, Acting, Arts and Painting and Guitar. The Workshop sessions occurred from July to August, 2023. (increased number of children and youths trained from around 41 kids in arts and crafts and 87 in dance lessons in 2022)
271 children were trained through the Sports Clinic 2023 wherein they were provided with sport-related activities, athletic skills training and tournaments:
27 kids enrolled in Arnis; 40 – Taekwondo; 26 – Judo; 16 – Gymnastics; 35 – Badminton; 13 – Athletics; 15 – Baseball; 43 – Baseball; 30 – Football; and 26 kids for Volleyball
Continuous campaign and rollout for the Muntinlupa Online Registration Program for Youth (MYORP) in junior and senior high schools in Muntinlupa City. The MYORP is a systematic tool wherein youths residing in Muntinlupa City are registered and profiled to understand what are their situations and provide interventions, accordingly.
