Assessment
In both of the NPA courses, you will be marked internally by the classroom teacher. Assessments are both practical and written.
Unit 1: Theatre Skills in Performance
You will rehearse and perform and aim towards a 30 minute production which must be performed in front of a live audience. Amid the practical element, there are numerous essays to be submitted to achieve this course award. You will then evaluate the process.
Unit 2: Professional Theatre in Context
You will investigate two styles/genres of professional theatre and investigate the elements within them. You will explore the role of the theatre production team in creating a production i.e. Director, producer etc.
The qualities required for an ideal Acting and Performance candidate are:

Sociable - work in groups
Cooperative - listen to others
Committed - learn lines
