Business Department
The Accounting course will develop skills in double entry accounting to record business transactions. Pupils will learn how to check accuracy of recording data and extract an Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position for year end accounts. Using data for decision making in a management accounting context will be taught.
At Lanark Grammar, we teach Accounting at National 5 and Higher.

Assignment 50 marks in 2 hours
Assignment 60 marks in 2 hours and 30 minutes
Question paper 120 marks in 2 hours and 30 minutes
A pupil interested in developing vocational skills which will allow success at Further Study or going in to a vocational course. Ability to apply numeracy concepts to record, analyse and interpret data. Students who pay attention to detail and who like to apply logical and analytical thinking.
