I am a researcher in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). I am interested on the influence and impacts of human activities on soils, as well as on the development of innovative techniques for remediation of the negative impacts. My main lines of research include the properties, functions and contamination of urban soils; composting of organic wastes and use of compost in agriculture and environmental restoration; and the influence of agricultural practices on the long-term properties of soils. Currently I also teach soil science and geology.
