I am a soil scientist and a geographer. Since 1999 I have been working in the Department of Soil Science and Soil Protection at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. My research interests are focused on two main issues:

i) the urban and suburban soils, their geochemical characterization in order to assess associated risks for the ecosystem and the quality of human life;

ii) technogenic soils, especially the influence of land use on the behaviour distribution of different elements in technogenic soils.

I am a member of the Commission of Soils Degradation, Protection and Reclamation of PSSS.
