My major is chemistry and dynamics of soil organic matter, elemental dynamics in soil and river. I have experiences of field researches in south-east Asia, China, Mongolia and Siberia, mainly tracking organic substances as carriers for pollutants and metals, and also as carbon sink. Technogenic soils are also my big interests since my first participation to SUITMA7 in Poland. I struggle with the soils beneath asphalt, constructions and distributing in reclamation areas. Since I have engaged to faculty of agriculture for a long time, I have considered soils as natural body or media for plant productivity. But now I will have a wide view for soils after meeting to SUITMA. My researches are focusing on two main issues in SUITMA topics:

i) Dynamics of organic and inorganic carbon in soils containing artefacts

ii) Primary process in man-made soils

I am delegate of Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition and council of Japanese Society of Pedology.
