Before we moved to the US, my Dad took some cooking classes in preparation for switching careers (School Principal to Cook). This was one of his recipes that I make for myself as comfort food.
4 envelopes Knox Unflavored Gelatin (0.25 oz each)
4 cups hot (boiling) water
½ cup sugar (or to taste)
1T Almond extract flavoring
2 cups Milk
Mix 4 envelopes of unflavored gelatin with 4 cups hot water. Add ½ cup sugar, tablespoon of almond extract, and 2 cups milk. Mix well and cool in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
Cut into cubes and serve with milk and/or fruits such as lychee or berries.
