Hello Families;
Just a few notes for you as we head into the weekend:
- Please do not feel stressed about having your child complete all of the assignments we have offered. We tried to create options so that families can pick and choose activities that work best for you. We understand that for many this is a very stressful time and we are here for you if you have any questions or require support along the way. Conversely, the extensions page provides extra activities for those who might find them useful.
- We would like to have at least one contact minimum with your family per week - two or more posts are ideal.This is a Ministry of Education guideline. Each week we will email out the week at a glance on Mondays. Students/Families are then able to post responses back to us through email or Seesaw. We/the Principal will be following up with families we do not hear back from to ensure all are safe.
- Seesaw is our preferred mode of communication as all teachers working with the class are able to see anything your child/you posts: Ms. Radsma and myself, Mr Dranchuk (library), Ms. McLaren (music), Ms. deVries (PE) and Ms. Khione (Educational Assistant). It also allows students to write/draw/audio or visual record their thinking. All families that provided consent for 'Online Learning' have been sent login information for Seesaw. Many students have posted this week (some multiple times) and it has allowed us a window into what they are doing and allowed us to communicate back and forth. Our goal is to have all students active on Seesaw :)
- Online reading options: Please see the document (emailed today or posted earlier this week on this website) for some links to great online reading resources. Keeping up with home reading is very important and these resources provide some extra literacy choices.
Have a great weekend!
