About Ms. Walker

I have two boys, aged 12 (grade 7) and 8 (grade 4) who attend Spencer and Ruth King. I have been teaching for about 19 years....from kindergarten to middle school....but ones and twos are my favourite! ! My husband is also a teacher in the district. I have been at Ruth King since 2010.

I have a passion for children's books and love to share my newest finds with my students in my extensive classroom library. I enjoy teaching the curriculum through thematic units of study. I recently completed my Masters in Education at the University of Victoria, focusing on visual literacy in children's picturebooks.
