Dumplings

Ingredients:

4 oz flour or 3 oz flour and 1 oz cornflour

1 tsp baking powder

1½ oz margarine

⅛ tsp salt

1 oz sugar

grated nutmeg

3-4 tbsp milk or water

Instructions:

Sift flour and baking powder, rub in margarine, add salt, sugar, and nutmeg.

Mix with enough milk or water to make a stiff dough. Knead lightly and form into balls.

Place on top of vegetables and cook for about 7 minutes. Don’t allow to overcook.

Note

Chopped eshalot or chopped herbs may also be used.
