We are slowly wrapping up the preparatory term as our proposal is undergoing the final touches and the average excitement levels of the team are peaking. Our progress as a team became apparent to me as I was editing a section of the proposal explaining street impedance in terms of restaurants with outside seating, narrow walkways and bridges, and floods. After explaining the infrastructure and entry points of Venice as a host city for its visitors, we examined various issues and consequences that lead up to street congestion in a very organized fashion.
The first PQP assignment called for us to project in the future and write about how we envisioned this project. I remember making many assumptions and being completely vague when writing about methodology. Reflecting back to that paper, I am proud of my team members and myself for having a more concrete understanding of our contribution to this project. Our perception of this project is no longer unclear and we are prepared to go to work as soon as we arrive in Venice.
