Completion of Final Presentation!

Post date: Dec 15, 2015 2:10:33 PM

Last night we were able to complete our final presentation in front of an audience of different city officials and other potential collaborators who could be interested in continuing work with automatic methods of counting pedestrians. We are incredibly excited to see there interest in what we have been doing and proud of the work we were able to present! While it is bittersweet having our experience in Venice come to a close, there is a always a little bit left to do. We have the paper to finish up, get printed and bound for Friday, and some wrap up tasks to complete!

As we finish the majority of the work on our project we would like to specifically thank all the Venetian residents who were kind enough to let us into their homes, sometimes multiple times, in order to install, and monitor these camera systems.

Our primary Venetian collaborators, Piero and Sarah Toffolo, for providing an immense amount of support in the installation and take down of these systems, as well as translation services throughout the entire project, without them we wouldn't have been able to accomplish nearly as much!

We have attached pictures from our final presentation, if you are interested in viewing the presentation, the final version is available on the Presentation tab at the top of the page!
