Placemeter

This week I learned about a company called placemeter who specialize in pedestrian counting. They are a startup who developed pedestrian counting technology for New York so that businesses could find how many people were passing them on any given day. Their technology is pretty much exactly what we would need to install in Venice in order to create accurate year round pedestrian counts. I am in the process of applying to receive their technology either cheaply or free based on our academic intentions.
