Chantry Flats to Hoegees Hike - Saturday May 21st

We will hike from Chantry Flats to Hoegees trail camp via the LOWER Winter Creek Trail and return to Chantry Flats vis the UPPER Winter Creek Trail (roughly over 5 miles).

Please bring day pack with ten essentials, extra water and a snack. Parents to drive their sons to and from trail head (allow time for parking if hiking). Check in before 7:45 am at trail head for a quick orientation. Boots hit trail at 8:00 am. We will meet near the restrooms located at the LOWER parking lot.

You can reach Chantry Flats by going North on Santa Anitia Ave until you reach the foothills at which time in turns into Santa Anita Canyon Road. Drive up the mountain about 2.5 to 3 miles until you reach Chantry Flats (its at the end of the road - can't go any further). Parking can be tight on weekends so encourage scouts/parents to carpool.

Please turn in completed permission slip to Mrs. Rolan at May 17^th the troop meeting and make sure emergency phone number is on the form along with e-mail address.
